Activities in December

The Advent season was ushered in with “Jingle Mingle” – the trimming of the Memorial Angel Tree in the Sanctuary and the singing of Christmas carols in the church hall.  The carol singing was followed by delicious sweets, tea, coffee, juice, and even a hot chocolate bar.

The UCW held a Holly Jolly Christmas Luncheon on December 11th to which the staff and all the ladies of the congregation were invited.

A “mitten tree” was placed in the narthex for the purpose of collecting mittens and hats for those in need.

Angels in memory of departed loved ones were placed on the Memorial Angel Tree on December 3rd, and Rev. Shaw and his family were welcomed to Mountain View.

White Gift Sunday was held on December 10th.   Food items were placed under the tree for donation to the Food Bank.

Christmas Eve services were held at 10:30 AM and at 6:30 PM on December 24th, (click here to watch the recording of the services) heralding the good news of Jesus’ birth.  In Joyland (Sunday School), the children participated in a birthday party for Jesus.
